Sporty Parallel Twin
The Kawasaki Ninja 650R is a parallel twin and compared to the four cylinder bikes it is narrower. With the way the components are laid out, the rider is not too high off the ground. Having the seat lower is great for those with shorter legs, you will be able to touch the floor with your feet. Kawasaki positioned the battery to the side of the rear shock, which allowed them to reduce the seat height down also. A lower centre of gravity is always good. Feels like you are sitting in the bike rather than on top of it. For that rider and machine become one sort of feeling.
Kawasaki have gone for the sports touring to give you relaxed all-day comfort from the fuel injected bike. The engine has a 180 degree crankshaft driven balancer shaft. You have to have those in a twin to get a smooth running engine that won’t shake itself to bits. There are throttle valves in the fuel injection system and it is expertly controlled by the ECU system. The compact design of the bike puts the lightweight fuel pump mounted inside the fuel tank.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650r Top Speed is not the only good thing here
The bike has the typically sporty verging on aggressive lines that you would expect from a Ninja style bike from Kawasaki. The Kawasaki ninja 650r fairings have a lip at the top of the windscreen, making it a more comfortable ride. There is a dual headlight system at the front, great to have a motorbike with good lighting for the riding at night. The Kawasaki Ninja 650r top speed is going to be respectable given power of the lightweight engine against the light design of the bike.
There is small storage space under the seat, enough space to put a locking device in there. The usual racing Kawasaki green is one option but the bike is available in metallic island blue also. The bike has slightly different options for the European markets and a different number suffix ER-6n for the un-faired model and the ER-6f for the one with a fairing.
The braking system has on the front dual 300 mm Petal Disc with 2-Piston Callipers and on the rear a single 220 mm Petal Disc with hydraulic calliper, to ensure good stopping ability out on the road.
The Versys is based on the Kawasaki Ninja 650R, the bike’s 650 cc liquid cooled 4-stroke parallel twin engine has been given a retune for more bottom-end and mid-range power.
